I ♥ Faces

This week's theme at I ♥ Faces is Sepia. I don't normally use sepia tone, but figured I'd try. I don't have Photoshop to play around with the tones of browns like I want to, but I think they turned out pretty good!
There are two categories...and I'm actually doing the adult one as well as the kids category!

I think this is one of my favorite pictures of Colten in the hospital. He just looks so cute in his hat and blanket and I love his little hands up by his face.

I don't normally post pictures of just Brian on here. He's usually in the pictures with the kids! I had to choose between this picture and one of him goofing off and doing something funny with his eyebrows. I chose the one I like the most.
I ♥ this picture!

Skydiving, leggings and a fountain

A weird title, huh! Well, we have a little of all of it in this post!
Here's a little skydiving for ya (I really did LOL when I saw this one!)
And can you see that we got some leggings for our boy? I LOVE them!

Brian, on the other hand, thinks they look girly.

What do you think???

We went to the Promenade today (it's basically an outdoor mall) and Austin begged to see the fountain, so we did that while Aunt Amanda and Danielle were in the Yankee Candle store.

Aunt Amanda Visits!

Aunt Amanda had some vacation time and decided to visit us for a couple of days! I think she was missing her nephews a little!
Both boys adore her...of course it helps that she brings things for them! :-) Here's a bib that she got Colten...soooo cute!
Thanks for coming to see us Aunt Amanda! It was fun to see you (and Danielle!).

Summertime Fun

The kids and I went to the Roger's Splash Park with the playgroup today. It's a fun place to cool off and have some fun. I didn't get very many pictures...mostly because I left the house with a low battery! Here's one of Austin looking at the fun everyone is having (he did get in and have fun!!!).

Gulley Park Concert Series

We got a call from Brian Porbeck yesterday evening asking if we wanted to go to a concert at Gulley Park. When we were at Fort Campbell, we went to something similar at a winery and LOVED it, so we figured we try this one and see how it was.
We got to the park and sat with the Porbecks and friends of theirs. The kids had fun playing and it was a relaxing evening with good music and wine (shhhh, don't think we were supposed to have that there!).
Here are a few pictures:

More pictures showing that I DO exist! :-)

Don't ask me what Colten was doing to me in this picture...he just pulled my face to his and did it! Maybe he's kissing me? It sure was cute, whatever it was!

Life as we know it...

May be coming to an end...really soon!
I found Colten on his belly at 3:30 this morning. This is the second time he has rolled from back to belly...and this time he did it despite having a sleep positioner!
The time is coming when our little baby who lays on a blanket in one spot is all over the place instead. He will be mobile soon...and unlike with the first child, I am no looking forward to it! It will be harder to keep the floors picked up since we have a 4 year old that has toys all over the place at times because he's "still playing." Oh joy! In fact, just last night I found a marble right in the spot that Colten lays! This is not going to be fun, people!
I don't have pictures...we got a new laptop on Sunday and I still have not installed my camera's software on it. Our Alienware laptop was about to catch on fire...smoke coming out and everything. So, we had to send it in for repairs (still in warranty, yay!) and Brian can't do 2 weeks without a computer (schoolwork), so we got a new one. We've known we were going to get another one at some point...having two computers just makes sense when you have two people on them all the time. Especially when he goes back to work (aka real Army life) and I am left with no computer when he goes on training, deployments, etc.
So, maybe today I can get software installed, pictures uploaded and shared...while still cleaning my house and letting Austin play on his slip n slide outside in this gorgeous weather!

I ♥ Faces - Special Pet Category

This week at I ♥ Faces there is a special pets contest! I love this since we tend to think of our dogs (and cat) as children. They drive us crazy a lot of the time, but we love them all just the same.

This is Koa (our Hawaii dog...his name means soldier or warrior). He is a year old now and LOVES tennis balls. He will chase after them forever and if you leave one out in the yard, he likes to chew them as well.

I could have also posted a birthday picture, but I decided that I wasn't going to go through all the old pictures and just do the pet entry this time.

Head on over to http://www.iheartfaces.blogspot.com/ and enter your own pet picture (or Birthday picture!)
